Aura has been reappointed to the North East Procurement Organisation (NEPO) Construction and Engineering consultancy service framework.

The four year framework is worth an estimated £4.5 million each year and offers a compliant value for money route for public services to procure a range of engineering and professional services.

Based in Newcastle, the company works with a large supply chain, which creates the flexibility to ensure that project teams consist of the best mix of skills to successfully meet client objectives on time and budget.

Aura is committed to supporting local communities and through the NEPO framework has already placed over £270 million of work and services with local North East businesses. This has created 800 work experience placements and 80 apprenticeships.

Kirsty Thirlwell, Chief Executive at Aura, said:“The NEPO framework has delivered significant benefits to the communities of the North East over the last four years and we look forward to continuing that work with this appointment. The tender process was robust and rigorous but we were able to demonstrate a proven track record in high quality delivery of services at best value to the public purse.”

Aura successfully managed over 35 community projects under the previous NEPO framework, including the Library refurbishment for Teesside University and the Science Central Laboratory Project in Newcastle.

Aura specialises in building consultancy, construction, asset management and investment. The company has a proven track record and has delivered over £300 million of high quality infrastructure across the North East in the last ten years and brought over £200 million of investment capital into the region.
