As one of the original founders of Aura, Kirsty has managed the company’s successful delivery of over £300 million in investment finance in the North East. She has over 25 years’ experience of capital finance and major infrastructure development on projects working with Balfour Beatty, M&W Group and Siemens. Kirsty holds a degree in Chemical Engineering, a PhD in Nuclear Chemistry and is a Chartered Chemical Engineer.
James is a qualified mechanical engineer with over 25 years’ experience of building systems and energy management in the life sciences, education and health sectors working on projects with NHS Trusts and Balfour Beatty. He is responsible for operational PFI SPV management and has extensive project and contract management experience across a range of contract formats, delivering consistent quality and value.
Howard is a Chartered Project Manager with a degree in Building Management (Design & Construction) and experience spanning over 25 years. Prior to joining Aura, Howard held a successful career with Carillion Amey as Area Commercial Manager North working on defence projects and MDA consulting delivering education and health projects throughout the North East. He has extensive experience and knowledge of cost consultancy and project management.
Joining Aura in 2015, Vikki has over 10 years experience with Carillion having successfully managed large scale education projects, managing cross-discipline teams and complex portfolios for South Tyneside, Gateshead and Durham County Council on the BSF Projects. She has a wealth of knowledge working with the public and private sectors and is qualified with a B.A Hons in Leadership and Management.
Victoria joined Aura in 2019 having transitioned from SES Engineering with a background in bid development and technical onsite assistant role. She brings knowledge and experience of being part of a successful bid development team which secured M&E works throughout the North East and Scotland. Victoria graduated from Newcastle University in 2017 with a BA Hons in Ancient History.
Michael has previously worked in both the public and private sectors, originally trained in an Architects office, he has developed his career and has been a Director for over 10 years. As a Quantity Surveyor, Michael has a wealth of knowledge on the construction and building consultancy market. Michael has worked with Aura in a consultancy capacity for 6 years in the commercial and education sector. Michael is qualified in BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying.
Christine has over 29 years’ experience in Architecture, 10 years spent heading up WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff Newcastle office Architectural team and 15 years working with Aura in a consulting capacity. Chris has specialised in design for education for the past 18 years and successfully delivered multiple school construction projects under the PFI and BSF programmes all completed on time and to budget. Chris is qualified in BA (Hons) Architectural Studies, BArch.
John is an award-winning marketing and communications specialist with over 25 years’ experience in developing and delivering integrated corporate communications strategies. He has worked extensively in both public and private sectors in economic development, commercial property, construction, the NHS and technology.
Malcolm was appointed by Aura Board as Aura’s Health and Safety Advisor. Malcolm, a Director of Summers Inman, is a chartered Health and Safety professional with 40 years of experience in the Construction industry. He now oversees the delivery of Health and Safety / CDM consultancy & construction risk management to a diverse range of clients. Malcolm is a Fellow of IOSH and a Fellow of the APS. He holds key industry positions nationally and is Chair of the IOSH Construction Group whilst sitting on the CIC Health and Safety Committee.
Luke joined Aura in 2019 to property manage The Biosphere. He brought his 7 years property management experience from BizSpace as Area Manager managing 8 commercial, industrial and business units across the North East generating in excess of £900k annual income. Luke has strong sales management skills in both the public and private sector in commercial and regeneration sectors.
Pam has a strong background in school financial and business management having delivered this role within a Newcastle School for over 15 years. Her skillset is aligned to successfully managing school financial budgets, monitoring facilities management works, office management and relationship building.
Michelle joined Aura having spent 11 years at the Chamber of Commerce as a receptionist. Her skillset showcases her ability to multitask, prioritise and organise a large-scale office environment daily. She is an effective communicator with good interpersonal skills.
